Gospel of Christ is Jailed by this World’s Government

Acts 5:12-21

We live in such a secularized world, hostile to the testimony of Jesus Christ, that people fear living by the Gospel. They fear for their jobs, housing situation, family situation, etc. if they join the family of Believers. At the same time, there will always be the faithful few in this world, and those who want to stay as near to Christ as possible without gathering with other Believers. These are the days when the Gospel is being put in chains, and influencers who would inspire large Christian gatherings are non-existent. The Billy Grahm era is over, but Jesus Christ lives forever, and the faithful few with the power of the Holy Spirit will continue to exist.

Fear of Joining the Body of Christ.
Intimidation against the growth of Christianity was very strong during the time of the Apostles. They were being jailed, whipped, and executed for sharing about Jesus Christ. The opposition to the way of Christ was so strong that, “No one else dared join them.” That’s the way it is in this world under those who govern through the mark of the beast. If a person rejects the thing that has power over physiology, then their whole life is thrown into limbo.

Today, rejecting the mark of the beast and joining the body of Christ results in various assaults. Unresolvable problems begin to arise at work, conflict begins to arise in the family structure, social responses from the community becomes cold, remarkable talents begin to fade, and their enhanced intuition and knowledge disappears. For that reason, no one dares join the fellowship of Believers. Even then, many people hold high regards for Christians who refuse to bow to the mark of the beast. But they dare not cross the line into promoting the Gospel of Christ. As written, “No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.

Despite the Christian persecution, people continue to be added among those who believe in Jesus Christ. The faithful few will always live on this earth. Because of people like Peter and John, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and speaking with tongues of fire, the name of Jesus Christ will continue to live.

“The Apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people.
And all the Believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade.
No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.
Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord
and were added to their number.”
Acts 5:12-14

Crowds Gather Nearby Hoping for Healing.
I imagine that the migrants are gathering at the US border in hopes that the shadow of this once Godly nation might fall on them. They shy away from making any definite declarations of their faith in Jesus Christ because they want asylum. They are seeking to immigrate into a country that has had a reputation of upholding Godly values. The thousands and thousands of migrants are sick and tormented by impure spirits, which can be healed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m referring to the evil that afflicts them that chases them out of their own country as well as the inner personal turmoil that they are experiencing. This statement could still be true today, “bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.” I read that 166,000 migrants come to the US border every month in 2022, so why not send Evangelists to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ?

This world system, which governs by the mark of the beast, has turned many people into migrants looking for refuge from torment and various types of sicknesses. There are thousands upon thousands, even millions, of tormented people around the world. They are stranded in airports, suffering severe storms, suffering drug and alcohol abuse, being oppressed by hostile nations, suffering school violence, street violence, riots and protests, and the list goes on. Why not allow the Godly shadow of this nation to fall on them? Why not unleash the Gospel upon this world? Why not free us Christians to spread the testimony of Jesus Christ? Why not allow mass gatherings in the name of Jesus Christ? The answer is simple, those who govern by the mark of the beast despise Jesus Christ, tramples on the Holy Spirit, and demands to be honored as God. Those filled with the Holy Spirit knows this could still be true for today, “bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.”

“As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats
so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.
Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem,
bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.”
Acts 5:15-16

Local Authorities Order the Arrest of the Influencers.
Instead of unleashing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and with fiery tongues, all of that is being jailed. It is being jailed by those who govern with the power over physiology and is able to form thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Just like the Sadducees dealing with Peter and John, they are “filled with jealousy.” Those who govern by the mark of the beast refuse to allow anyone to serve Jesus Christ. That jealousy was so strong among the Sadducees that “They arrested the Apostles and put them in the public jail.” That is no different from today where the Gospel of Christ is put in chains. Today, the followers of Christ are put in captivity to stop the spread of Christianity.

The faithful few who live in this world have the infilling of the Holy Spirit, they have the fiery tongue, and they are proclaiming Salvation through the name of Jesus Christ. The courage of the Holy Spirit frees us from the fear of being jailed, punished, and even killed. The message from God to those who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ is, “and tell the people all about this new life.” The new life is in Christ Jesus. While there are thousands and thousands of migrants to share Jesus Christ with, even the churches need to hear the Gospel Message.

“Then the high priest and all his associates,
who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.
They arrested the Apostles and put them in the public jail.
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.
“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”
At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people.” Acts 5:17-21

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
