The strategy that was being used against the Christians during the days of Peter and John is the same that we see today in 2022. Government leaders from city, to state, to national, to global are avoiding visible hostility to the followers of Jesus Christ. At the same time, they are eliminating prominent Christian leaders to cause the spread of the Gospel to die-out. There will never be a replacement for Billy Grahm and there will never be another week-long crusade broadcast on a major television network. At the same time, the faithful few who are filled with the Holy Spirit, will remain on this earth to the end. They will stand for Jesus Christ under a government that operates by the mark of the beast. The hostile government will use legal directives against the testimony of Jesus Christ to speed the demise of the followers of Christ.
What’s the difference between the days of the Apostles and today? In those days, the Holy Spirit was poured out to spread the Gospel to all the world. It’s spread couldn’t be stopped. Today, the mark of the beast is in the world, and it has been given the power to overcome God’s people. “It was given power to wage war against God’s Holy people and to conquer them.” Revelation 13:7 Every person around the world will live by the mark of the beast, except God’s people, “All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 13:8 The same tactic is being used today as then to eliminate the way of Jesus Christ, but today we are much closer to Jesus’s return, and we are wading waist-deep into the waters of global tribulation.

Peter and John were arrested for preaching about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The arresting authorities did not believe in the resurrection and wanted to put a stop to it being taught and preached about. Today, that is exactly the way it is, the immortality of eternal life is nonsense to the governing authorities. They consider human beings to be nothing more than human animals, just another specie of all the other animals in the world. They seek to put an end to the Gospel of Christ to lift up their savior through the mark of the beast.
Authorities Discover the Influencers of the Gospel of Christ are not Locked Up.
The testimony of Jesus Christ cannot be kept locked into a jail cell. This world’s government can lock up every influential leader of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the followers of Jesus would continue to exist. Even in the times of Peter and John, locking up and killing the leaders of the Church didn’t stop the Gospel from being spread globally. Eventually, Nero of the Roman government savagely attacked the Christians with no mercy, attempting to exterminate them all. I imagine that is how the global tribulation will come about, although there is no major Christian leadership, the faithful and few followers of Christ are not going away. The Holy Spirit that lives in Believers is not staying jailed. Those who govern by the mark of the beast are concerned as they wonder what it might lead to.
“When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin—
the full assembly of the elders of Israel—and sent to the jail for the Apostles.
But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there.
So, they went back and reported,
“We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors;
but when we opened them, we found no one inside.”
On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were at a loss, wondering what this might lead to.”

Authorities Refraining from Force to Detain the Spread of the Gospel.
Today, in the year 2022, it’s obvious that the testimony of Jesus Christ is being put down quietly. The churches are no longer teaching and preaching the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. The Salvation message has quietly been put aside as the church has become dominated by those living for the mark of the beast. At the same time, there is enormous opportunity for evangelism, such as at the US/Mexico border. I’ve heard that there has been 166,000 migrants per month coming to the border. Why aren’t there any evangelists there to harvest souls in the name of Jesus Christ? This world is filled with multitudes of people who need to hear the Gospel, where are the evangelists? The answer is simple, the teaching of the Bible is non-forcibly being put down, as it is written, “They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.”
The government authorities are infuriated because the Apostles continue to speak with the fiery tongue of the Holy Spirit to spread the Good News. If any follower of Jesus Christ stood at the border of US/Mexico to spread the testimony of Jesus Christ, the same words would be said as what was said to Peter and John, “We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said.
“Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” Those who govern by the mark of the beast are very defensive against being accused of what they are doing, which is discarding Jesus Christ, trampling on the Holy Spirit, and setting themselves up as God.
“Then someone came and said,
“Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people.”
At that, the captain went with his officers and brought the Apostles.
They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.
The Apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin
to be questioned by the high priest.
“We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said.
“Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching
and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.”

Holy Spirit Filled Believers Stand for Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit will always, always glorify the name of Jesus Christ. When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, there is a strong desire to make known the Gospel. When the authorities of this present world’s government try to discourage people from talking about Jesus Christ, they forget one thing, it’s the Holy Spirit that they are dealing with. Peter and the other Apostles knew that obedience to God was more important than obedience to human beings, as it is written, “We must obey God rather than human beings!” Despite all the warnings and threats from the unGodly government, those filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking with tongues of fire continue proclaiming Jesus Christ. It is like the followers of Jesus Christ today saying to those who live by the mark of the beast, ….whom you killed by hanging Him on a cross. God exalted Him to His own right hand as Prince and Savior that He might bring everyone to repentance and forgive their sins.
“Peter and the other apostles replied:
“We must obey God rather than human beings!
The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—
whom you killed by hanging Him on a cross.
God exalted Him to His own right hand as Prince and Savior
that He might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit,
whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Authorities Hoping for the Fading Out of Christianity.
By eliminating evangelists who influence masses of people to come to Jesus Christ, the government leaders are counting on the following of Jesus Christ to die out. As it is written, “a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while.” That’s why the Gospel of Christ is not being shared to the thousands upon thousands of migrants at the US/Mexico border. Also, the world has chosen to live by the mark of the beast and are playing a role in afflicting those who want to influence others in the way of Jesus Christ. “All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 13:8 The plan of this world’s government is to ignore Christians by having the whole community to turn away from those who follow the way of Christ. Their tactic is to extinguish the Gospel by not paying any attention, as it is written, “Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.“

But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people,
stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while.

and about four hundred men rallied to him.
He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing.

Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go!

But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men;

Authorities Use Legal Directives to Deter Christianity.
Along with extinguishing the way of Jesus Christ by eliminating influencers and ignoring the Gospel, they use legal tactics. For example, the US Congress is already voting to codify same-sex marriages into law. That means the US Supreme Court would have to abide by that law as the law of the land. Those of us who live by the teachings of the Bible would be violating the law to act against same sex marriages. We would be subject to fines, imprisonment, and other punishments for refusing someone their rights under the law. Christians would be ordered not to speak in the name of Jesus, as it is written, “They called the Apostles in and had them flogged.
Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and let them go.” That is how the agenda of the mark of the beast is changing the Godly foundations of America, and that is how the one global constitution will be established under those who rule by the mark of the beast.
Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit rejoice to suffer for the name of Jesus Christ, as it is written, “The Apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.”
