The global armies of the beast gather. “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,” Ezekiel 38:1-2 The land of Gog and the prince of Rosh are symbolic for the powers leading the military crusade. They are making war on behalf of the global government of the beast. “…and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.” Ezekiel 38:3 God is against the war machine, but He is using it to bring judgment on Israel.

“I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.” Ezekiel 38:4 God is going to put it in them to summons every bit of their military resources to wage war. “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.” Ezekiel 38:5-6 It’s a multi-nation campaign gathering every available army.

Israel is overrun by the global military sometime after 1948. “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.” Ezekiel 38:7 The global government of the beast prepares a military force to make war on its behalf. It even guards those militaries like the United Nations guards the militaries which fight against the global “democratic” society. Other militaries are shamed, sanctioned, attacked, eliminated, etc. 

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.” Ezekiel 38:8 These are the latter years when many Jewish people have gathered to the State of Israel, which happened in 1948. They were brought to Israel after suffering the sword of the Holocaust of WW2 to live in relative safety. “You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.” Ezekiel 38:9 Israel will be overrun with an overwhelming force.

Thoughts pop into the mind against Israel in theses last days. “‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:” Ezekiel 38:10 We are already living in the days when thoughts pop into our mind which are against God, Israel, and the followers of Christ. There is a thing in this world that has the ability to form the thoughts which pops into our mind as it motivates feelings and emotions against God, to discard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to trample on the Holy Spirit. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people. People in every city around the world are conforms to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. Even today, world opinion and behavior are shaped against the State of Israel. Even the United States refuses to stand with Israel against the global agenda of the “democratic” society of the beast.

“You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— ” Ezekiel 38:11 Today, there are no concrete walls on the land of Israel, but one began to be built in the West Bank in 2005. But there are definitely no walls built as a fortress nor any type of walls built for war, and definitely no walls able to withstand an invasion from a military backed by a global power. Israel can be considered a country doing its best to live peaceably and safely while surrounded by countries that want to wipe them off the face of the earth.

“…to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.” Ezekiel 38:12 Since the State of Israel was declared in 1948, they went from desolation as a Jewish nation to being prosperous in many ways. Now, the global nations of the beast come against the State of Israel to plunder and to rob them of their prosperity. Today, plundering a nation is done by boycotting, divesting, economic sanctions, as well as with military force.

“Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”’ Ezekiel 38:13 Many nations will be curious to join in the ransacking against the State of Israel. This is the nature of the global nations of the beast, which are all-in when it comes to persecuting and plundering anything remotely synonymous with God. Just the name of Israel is synonymous with God. That also describes the persecution of us Christians who live for God in the name of Jesus Christ and oppose the global culture of the beast. We oppose the sinister thoughts imposed by the thing that has power over physiology and conspires against God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Uncanny knowledge is used to come against Israel. “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?” Ezekiel 38:14 The thing that has power over physiology knows all about what is in our mind, feelings, and what our life situation is. Those who live by it has uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition to know exactly when we feel at our safest. God says that uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition will be used by those who overrun the State of Israel.

“Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.” Ezekiel 38:15 The north of Israel is Lebanon and Syria and far north of Israel is Russia, and Moscow is almost a straight line to Israel. Some believe it will be Russia, with its ability to rally a great military, who comes against Israel, and as we see in Ukraine, Russia has no problem with invasion, destruction, and plundering. Even so, the prophecy is that the use of uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition leads to the invasion of Israel. We are living in the days of thoughts and knowledge coming to us from a source that has power over physiology. We are living the days of the fulfillment of prophecy.

“You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” Ezekiel 38:16 The invasion of Israel happens in the latter days. Those latter days are here because the Jewish people were gathered to the State of Israel in 1948. Also, those latter days are here because the thing that causes thoughts and knowledge to pop up within us is here. The latter days are here because the global government of the beast is here, which was formed immediately after WW2 and was called the New World Order.

“Thus says the Lord God: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?” Ezekiel 38:17 The prophecies about the king of Babylon coming against Israel is the prophecy of the global government of the beast who comes against Israel in these latter days.

After the invasion of Israel destruction comes to the whole earth. “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face.” Ezekiel 38:18 The global nations of the beast comes against Israel with all the fury of God’s judgment. “For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel,” Ezekiel 38:19 The hand of God will be so great against Israel that there will be an enormous earthquake within Israel, around the time of the military siege. “…so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’” Ezekiel 38:20 Every person on this planet is going to shake in the presence of God’s wrath.

Along with the whole earth being shaken, the social order is thrown into total tribulation and chaos. After the global armies of the beast comes against Israel, the global system begins to collapse. “I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.” Ezekiel 38:21 This would be equivalent to the Battle of Armageddon as every weapon around the world is used against the global military of the beast. Along with the raging battle, there will be conflict and violence on a personal level which happens worldwide. “And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.” Ezekiel 38:22 The attack on the State of Israel brings God’s judgment against the attackers because it was an attack on Him. The world will be full of blood-borne diseases, pandemics of all types, death, and violence, as described in Revelation 16. All those who live and govern for the global government of the beast, will suffer along with the military. It will be doom, despair, and agony on the world system who governs by the thing with power over thoughts, emotions, feelings and behaviors.

“Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 38:23 God is Holy and He does not allow for the world He created to be filled with sin, disobedience, and allegiance to the beast. He sanctifies Himself by destroying the world of sin and creating a new heaven and earth for those who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ. Jesus comes back as the Lord of lords and King of kings. Every knee will bow, and tongue confess that He is Lord, which is an act of submission and defeat not one of repentance and Salvation.
