The Election Plan

Romans 9:10-15

As much as what local, state, national, and global leaders like to think that they can reverse the ills of the world, they can’t. The problems that gain national and international attention are the judgments mentioned in the Bible. The sun’s intense heat, droughts, increase frequency & severity of earthquakes, hunger, unprecedented storm patterns, pandemics, crime, violence, wars, and global conflict. All of the humanitarian works, environmental goals, and government policies that are in process to turn the tide are unproductive. God’s judgments have already been scheduled to take place and no one can do a thing about that. Is that unfair? Not to me. it is still possible to elect what happens in the future. There has to be an election held, and the vote has to be to come to God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin.

Only God, who calls us to the Cross of Christ, can make the changes we need. He has mercy on whom He has mercy, and that mercy comes by electing Jesus Christ. The global community has sold the inheritance that God has given them in exchange for the internal government of the mark of the beast. They have elected the very thing that attracts judgment, and it is full of humanitarian works with no faith in God at all. God hates those who elect the mark of the beast but loves those who elect Jesus Christ. That is God’s purpose in election which separates the one from the other.

I, like everyone else, was born into a world that I had no part in ruining. Still, I have to submit to God’s purpose in election. I have inherited a sinful nature and it is my election to choose Jesus Christ or the mark of the beast. God calls me to elect Jesus for the atonement of sin. He knows those who will elect Him and those who won’t, and the names of the faithful few are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

God knew the elections that Jacob and Esau would make before they were even born, but still each one had to elect what they would do. That is God’s purpose in election. Israel is like Esau, after repeatedly electing to rebel against God they lost their birthright to God’s inheritance. Jacob is like the non-Jews who elected Jesus Christ and then received Israel’s birthright to God’s inheritance. God’s plan is already in the works, it’s written in the Bible and there is no changing it. That doesn’t make God unfair. It just means we have to follow His purpose in election to elect to keep the birthright of God’s inheritance found through Jesus Christ. Israel is the eldest and Christians the younger but, in the eyes of God, through Jesus the elder serves the younger.

“Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac.
Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—
in order that God’s purpose in election might stand not by works but by him who calls—
she was told,
“The older will serve the younger.” Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!
For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and
I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
Romans 9:10-15

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
