“Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly,” Ezekiel 13:20a.
As written in the previous verses, this verse is referring to the false prophetesses of Israel. God says He is against the pillows that women use “to hunt the souls to make them fly.” Those pillows represent the comfort and peace that was given to the Jewish people to make their dignity and self-esteem fly. That peace and sense of self-esteem was deceiving and led the people to believe in themselves and turn away from the will of God. Today, the Jewish people were inundated with feelings of peace to have their own land called the State of Israel, and their dignity and self-esteem was lifted up as a Jewish nation. Unfortunately, they believed in their own Jewish culture as they turned from the will of God by rejecting Jesus Christ as their Messiah.
God is against the pillows of the women of today’s culture. Women are placed in places of authority in every city around the world (In America for sure) at the same time when there is an enormous focus on the dignity, self-esteem, and peace within the masses of the global culture. This is by the will of the United Nations. This culture is promoted as being loving, caring, inclusive, and focused on dignity and respect of each individual. At the same time, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is promoted as being bigoted, unloving, hurtful to self-esteem, the cause of conflict and strife, etc. That’s because the word of God plainly says that we are all sinners in the need of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The Bible plainly says that believing in self and scoffing at belief in God leads to much sorrow, trouble, and tribulation. No human being is worthy of the glory and power that only belongs to God, “...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…” Romans 3:23-24
I must decrease and Jesus Christ must increase. “But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 “Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.” Colossians 2:18-19
Behavior modification is used to hunt souls and to make self-esteem fly. Positive feedback is given through smiles, pleasantries, material rewards, flatteries etc. to provide earthly peace and feed the self-esteem and dignity of those who are behaving in ways that are wanted. “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18 Negative feedback of frowns, unflattering words, withholding of material possessions, hostility, etc. are used against behaviors that are not wanted. “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.” Romans 16:17
Behavior modification tactics are used to modify/mandate behavior to welcome the entity that gives people what to think, feel, do and say. This entity enables the image of the beast to speak and live through people and by what they say and do are groomed to the mark of the beast.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
