“I will also tear off your veils and deliver My people out of your hand, and they shall no longer be as prey in your hand. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 13:21
To tear off the veils was to reveal the faces of the false prophetesses so that everyone could see who they were. In other words, the deception they created by bolstering self-esteem, dignity, and peace to turn people away from God would be found out. The Holy Spirit exposes them in this verse, “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18
Christ was tearing off that veil from the Jewish culture when He said this, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” Matthew 23:27-28
The veil was also removed in another way to expose sin and deliver souls from the deception that plagues this world today. When Jesus Christ gave up His life’s breath on the Cross to atone for sin, it removed the veil that prevented people from entering into the presence of God. Now, we see that Salvation doesn’t come by acknowledging women in places of authority as the path to peace and goodwill in the world, but Salvation comes by coming into the presence of God through Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit. “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom;” Matthew 27:50-51 We are the temple of God.
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:19-22
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
