We huddle with Jesus Christ in these times of Christian affliction. “David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him.” 1 Samuel 22:1 After David went to Ahimelech for bread and ate the Holy Bread of the temple, He was on the run from those who were hunting him to kill him. His family went to be with him.
Today, we followers of Jesus Christ are eating from the Holy Bread of Life, who is Jesus Christ. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Those who govern and live by the ting which forms what people think, feel, and do are hunting us down to destroy the life we live in Jesus. They demand people to embrace the image of the beast which lives and speaks through people which is enabled by the thing forming thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Even though the followers of Christ are like prey to a school of Piranhas, we cling to Jesus and His Gospel in the “caves” of the social network. Those “caves” are our humble abode. At the same time, the family of God who are born-again through Jesus stand with our brothers and sisters in these perilous times.
Jesus Christ welcomes the distressed and downtrodden. “And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.” 1 Samuel 22:2 David was unlike any other king, a man of peace, compassionate for the downtrodden, and a man after God’s own heart. He is representative of Jesus Christ who came for the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, freedom for the oppressed of sin, to enable people to see spiritually, and to proclaim that today is the day of Salvation, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 Jesus Christ is the captain of our soul.
“He Paid A Debt At Calvary,
He Cleansed My Soul And Set Me Free,
I’m Glad That Jesus Did All My Sins Erase.
I Now Can Sing A Brand New Song,
Amazing Grace All Day Long,
Christ Jesus Paid A Debt
That I Could Never Pay.”
(Church Hymn)
Jesus Christ cares for His family with His dying breaths. “Then David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and mother come here with you, till I know what God will do for me.” 1 Samuel 22:3 When Jesus Christ was hanging on the Cross, breathing His last breaths, His followers had no idea what would happen after His death. Even with His few remaining breaths of life, He was making arrangements for His mother, “When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.” Matthew 19:26-27
“So he brought them before the king of Moab, and they dwelt with him all the time that David was in the stronghold.” 1 Samuel 22:4 As long as Jesus Christ stayed in the stronghold of His mother’s and disciple’s heart, they would always be together. A day is coming and is already here when the need for Jesus Christ is discarded and the family is no longer the same, “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” 1 Samuel 22:21-23
The Spirit of Christ is taken from this world. “Now the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.” 1 Samuel 22:5 A day is coming, and is here, when the Spirit of Christ (the Holy Spirit) departs from the stronghold of this world and lawlessness is unleashed along with Christian affliction. The followers of Christ, who hold to His testimony, are removed to a cave/abode in the forest compared to living in mainstream society.
The Holy Spirit is the only One who restrains lawlessness, but when He is removed to a forest then lawlessness is unleashed, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8
War is made against Christians through worldly prosperity and empowerment. “When Saul heard that David and the men who were with him had been discovered—now Saul was staying in Gibeah under a tamarisk tree in Ramah, with his spear in his hand, and all his servants standing about him— ” 1 Samuel 22:6 Those who live and govern by the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do are keeping their ears open for the next step to be taken against Christians and Christianity as a whole. The masses in cities around the world speak and live according to the image of the beast and they have their spear in hand.
“…then Saul said to his servants who stood about him, “Hear now, you Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands and captains of hundreds?” 1 Samuel 22:7 The speech against Christianity is that the followers of Christ will have nothing in this world. They will not have property, no way to earn their own income, they will not have authority over anything, they will be impoverished and powerless.
Part of blaspheming God, discarding the need for Jesus and trampling on the Holy Spirit is to instill disbelief about eternal life. They call the inheritance of eternal life in the New Jerusalem a lie, along with saying the promise given to Christians to reign eternally with Christ is also a lie.
Today, money, possessions, physical comforts, authority, and social acceptance are given as positive rewards for living by the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do. It enables the image of the beast to speak and live through people. Earthly prosperity and authority are taken away as negative consequences for those who refuse to live for the “democratic” society of the beast. It’s all part of modifying behavior.
Christians are considered troublemakers to the “democratic” society. “All of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who reveals to me that my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse; and there is not one of you who is sorry for me or reveals to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day.” 1 Samuel 22:8
Saul expected people to report his own son, Jonathan, for having a bond with David. Those who govern over the “democratic” society assume people are conspiring against them if Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. They expect people to report anyone who has made a promise to live their life for Jesus Christ, even if it is a son, father, or any other family member. They want 100% sympathy to their cause and agreement that they are being conspired against by Christians. They want us followers of Christ to be considered troublemakers who are a disturbance to their “democratic” society.
Those with authority are expected to turn against Christians. “Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who was set over the servants of Saul, and said, “I saw the son of Jesse going to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.” 1 Samuel 22:9 Doeg is an example of someone with authority, property, and a way to earn a living, and willing to speak against David.
Today, people who sit in places of authority also have money, possessions, and physical comforts, and are active in speaking against Christianity. They are instrumental in establishing the global agenda of the beast and are expected to stand for the “democratic” society by turning against the followers of Christ. Their only allegiance is to the thing which forms thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses of people.
“And he inquired of the Lord for him, gave him provisions, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 22:10. The complaint against Christians is that we inquire of God through the Spirit of Jesus Christ and live by the teachings of the Holy Bible. The provisions we live on is the word of God and Holy Spirit, which gives us the Sword of the Spirit to sever us from the global giant of the beast. We dedicate our body as the home of the Holy Spirit and not the home of the thing which gives us what to feel, think, and do.
Ministers in the churches are rebuked for embracing the Gospel of Christ. “So the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests who were in Nob. And they all came to the king.” 1 Samuel 22:11 Ahimelech is the priest who supported David by sharing Holy Bread with him. Saul made it a point to track down all the priest who were helping David, and to gather them into his presence. His intentions towards them were bad news.
Today, all of the ministers in the churches, who have supported the Gospel of Jesus Christ, have been tracked down and gathered. They are being held accountable and punished if they support the Gospel of Jesus Christ within their churches.
Where are the ministers of the Gospel and what have happened to them? It’s obvious they are no longer in the churches sharing the testimony of Jesus but have been replaced by those who have discarded the need for the Gospel. “And Saul said, “Hear now, son of Ahitub!” He answered, “Here I am, my lord.” 1 Samuel 22:12 It’s 100% certain that those who govern over the “democratic” society has gotten the attention of the ministers of the Gospel of Christ.
“Then Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day?” 1 Samuel 22:13 There is only one question asked of the ministers of the Gospel of Christ, “Why have you conspired against me?” Those who govern by the image and mark of the beast consider it a betrayal to talk about the need for Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of the soul. They expect people to live by the thing which forms what one thinks, feels, and does to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through them. Instead, the ministers of the Gospel share the Holy Bread, who is the Spirit of Christ, who is the Sword which severs us from the society of the beast. They do not want the church leadership to consist of those who embrace and hold true to the testimony of Jesus.
“So Ahimelech answered the king and said, “And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, who goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?” 1 Samuel 22:14 The ministers of the Gospel will stand up for the faithfulness of Jesus Christ when they are summonsed to answer for their support of the message of the Cross. Jesus Christ is the only one who is honorable in this anti-Christian world.
“Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? Far be it from me! Let not the king impute anything to his servant, or to any in the house of my father. For your servant knew nothing of all this, little or much.” 1 Samuel 22:15 Ahimelech didn’t just begin to support David when Saul was seeking to kill David, it was his practice to pray and support David from way back. There was no reason for Saul to attribute Ahimelech’s support of David as a conspiracy against him.
Today, there are many ministers of the Gospel of Christ who have no idea why there are no doors open to them in the churches. They have been supporting Jesus Christ from way back. Without them knowing, it has been attributed to them as being hostile to the humanistic society which is rooted in the image and mark of the beast.
Support for Jesus Christ has been eliminated from the churches. “And the king said, “You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house!” 1 Samuel 22:16 Saul vowed that all those supporting David would die. Those who live and govern by the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do have vowed to eliminate from the churches all the ministers who support the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their only intent is for the image of the beast to live and speak through people.
Today, the churches have tossed out the message of the Cross and there are no ministers in the churches given the authority to preach, teach, or share in any way the testimony of Jesus. The need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ is discarded and the Holy Spirit is stepped on.
“Then the king said to the guards who stood about him, “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled and did not tell it to me.” 1 Samuel 22:17a. The ministers of the churches are expected to turn against Jesus Christ, His followers, His Gospel, and every aspect of Christianity. They are expected to deliver the followers of Christ into the hostile hands of those within the “democratic” society of the beast. If they do not, then they are eliminated.
“But the servants of the king would not lift their hands to strike the priests of the Lord.” 1 Samuel 22:17b. If some are not coming against the ministers of the Gospel of Christ, then who are the ones eliminating them from the churches? That question is answered in the next paragraph.
The order has been given to eliminate the body the Christ. “And the king said to Doeg, “You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.” 1 Samuel 22:18 Those like Doeg are eliminating the ministers of Christ from the churches. They are those who allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them by embracing the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do. They dominate the churches. Since after WW2, the New World Order was formed and the churches have been in sharp decline. In what seems like a day, the churches have been gutted of the Gospel of Christ, and they have been gutted of the ministers of His Gospel.
“Also Nob, the city of the priests, he struck with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and nursing infants, oxen and donkeys and sheep—with the edge of the sword.” 1 Samuel 22:19 What is happening in one city is happening around the world through the global government. What is happening to Christianity in one city is happening around the world to all of God’s children. The goal is to eliminate everyone who befriends Jesus Christ and who dedicates their body to be the home of the Spirit of Christ. The extinction of Christian births can be read about in Revelation 12. By eliminating Christianity, they easily persuade people to live by the thing which forms their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It sets itself up as God in the temple of God, our body.
“Now one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled after David.” 1 Samuel 22:20 As we see the beginning of Christian affliction appearing today, it will increase as the global “democratic” society of the beast progresses forward. Even then, a faithful few who hold to the testimony of Jesus will survive the horrid tribulation on this earth, and they escape in the direction of Jesus Christ. “And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the Lord’s priests.” 1 Samuel 22:21 Jesus Christ hears our prayers and knows the persecution of His followers, and He knows about the Christless churches of today.
Those faithful to Christ will be saved. “So David said to Abiathar, “I knew that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I have caused the death of all the persons of your father’s house.” 1 Samuel 22:22 Jesus Christ knows of those who persecute Christians in exchange for authority, possessions, money, physical comforts, and social acceptance. That is why the Bible warns us against the global government of the beast
In a sense, some might say that Jesus Christ is responsible for the death of those who follow Him, but Jesus says it this way, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” John 15:18-20
“Stay with me; do not fear. For he who seeks my life seeks your life, but with me you shall be safe.” 1 Samuel 22:23 Jesus Christ gives us peace, not an earthly peace without tribulation and war, but a spiritual peace in the Holy Spirit. Even today, Christians suffer many burdens, hardships, and afflictions from the “democratic” society of the beast. The Holy Spirit says to us, “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:18 Jesus says, “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:9-10
“There is peace in the time of trouble
There is peace in the midst of the storm
There is peace though the world be raging
In the shelter of His arms.”
(Church Hymn)
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
