Jesus Christ stays within our soul and that is where He is found.

A verse in this post asks Jesus the question, “Where are you staying?” Jesus Christ lives in us through the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is the guarantee given to us of the inheritance of eternal life.

The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Lukw 17:20b.21 and Ephesians 1:13-14
  • We want people to see the Lamb of God walking in us.
  • We follow Jesus and want to be where He is staying.
  • When we find Jesus Christ, we want others to know He is the Messiah.
  • Jesus gives us the new name of “Christian” and we are the Church.

We want people to see the Lamb of God walking in us. “Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” John 1:35-36 Like John, we want others to see Jesus as He walks so that we can express the testimony, “Behold the ‘Lamb of God!'” There is a huge difference between seeing the image of Christ walking in a person and seeing the image of the beast walking in a person.

Today, the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does enables the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. People who walk with it are filled with words and behaviors which blasphemes God, discards the need for Jesus Christ, and tramples on the Holy Spirit. The words, “Behold the Lamb of God!” will not come from their lips. That is quite a contrast to those who believe God, acknowledges the need for Jesus Christ, and embraces the Holy Spirit.

We follow Jesus and want to be where He is staying. “The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.” John 1:37 Like John, we want people to hear words which points to Jesus and gives them the opportunity to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. “Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” John 1:38 As followers of Jesus Christ, there is no better curiosity than wanting to know where Jesus is staying. To know where Jesus is staying is to know Jesus, and He lives in our soul through the Holy Spirit.

There is a thing in this world which wants to stay in the place which is meant to be the place for Jesus. It does that by the ability to form thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. We are meant to be the temple of God, but it sits in the temple as if it were God, “…it opposes and exalts itself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that it sits as God in the temple of God, showing itself that it is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4

“He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).” John 1:39 Jesus Christ wants us to see where He is staying, that is why He tells us plainly that the Kingdom of God is within us. Once we come to the place where Jesus is staying, we want to remain with Him. We want our soul to be filled with the presence of the image of Christ as we reject the thing which wants the image of the beast to live and speak through us.

When we find Jesus Christ, we want others to know He is the Messiah. “One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.” John 1:40-42a. Once we find Jesus within the place of our soul, we want everyone close to us to know we have found the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

By letting people know where Jesus lives and encouraging them to follow Jesus, we become the focus of hostility from those who want our internal life to be ruled by them. The “democratic” society derives its power and authority by the thing which works through the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors of the masses around the world. We are living in the days of the global government of the beast which requires conformity to the image of the beast which lives and speaks through people. As it lives and speaks through a person, the person is conformed to their place in life, their mark in life, they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

Jesus gives us the new name of “Christian” and we are the Church. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).” John 1:42b. Jesus Christ gives all of His followers a new name, and that name is “Christian.” We are the stone on which the Church is built, not the church buildings, but our body is the temple of God,

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
