Watch, be brave, and continue in the love of God. “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 We watch and see all around us the hostilities towards the Gospel of Christ, it’s everywhere we go because everyone is living for the “democratic” society of the mark of the beast. Let’s stand strong in the faith we have in Jesus, be brave and strong and let’s not become bitter, angry, and hateful but let all that we do be done in the love of God.
Listen to the Christians of years past. “I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints— that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.” 1 Corinthians 16:15-16 Today, there are Christians still alive who remember when the Gospel of Christ had strong roots in America, and they see how the world has developed without God. They are holding to the testimony of Jesus Christ, and we should honor them, listen to them, and obey them in Christ. We must also submit to the teachings of the New Testament which is from Paul and all those who worked together with him. They are the first fruits of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be grateful for the Believers who strengthen other Believers. “I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they supplied. For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.” 1 Corinthians 16:17-18 We should be grateful for all Believers who help to reinforce other Believers in what we lack and refreshes our spirit through Jesus Christ. “The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.” 1 Corinthians 16:19-20 The Church is our body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, but the manmade churches of today don’t live in the Holy Spirit because they discard the need for Jesus Christ who gives the Holy Spirit. Although the followers of Jesus are scattered, and showing affection in the Spirit of Christ suffers affliction, we should have a heart full of desire to greet other Believers. There is no better feeling than a gentle hug and a loving kiss, but today that ends up being a hard slap on the back and avoiding the kiss.
Jesus Christ personally signs our heart, those who hate Him are accursed. “The salutation with my own hand—Paul’s.” 1 Corinthians 16:21 Paul’s own salutation is something he inked himself and wasn’t left for someone else to write. Usually, Paul would give the words for others to write, but the salutation is in his own handwriting. Although the Bible is written by the hands of people, it is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the salutation of Jesus Christ is written on our heart. “If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!” 1 Corinthians 16:22 We see how the world is being accursed today because they do not love Jesus Christ. Even America, a nation founded on God and was considered a Christian nation, has fallen from the Gospel of Christ. The churches are void of the Gospel and communities have ordinances against the spread of the testimony of Jesus Christ. The nation is serving the thing that has power to form thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and feelings to synchronize people to the mark of the beast.
God’s grace and love are with us in these difficult times. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.” 1 Corinthians 16:23-24 With everything happening in this world today, God wants us to know that His grace is with us, and as we mess up from time to time His love is still with us through Jesus Christ. Our life of Holiness is not by being perfect in this world, but by being perfect in always loving God.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
