A spouse is offered as a way to kill the Spirit of Christ. Then Saul said to David, “Here is my older daughter Merab; I will give her to you as a wife. Only be valiant for me, and fight the Lord’s battles.” 1 Samuel 18:17a. The wife was given to David in exchange for him fighting worldly battles on Saul’s behalf. Today, relationships are based on vigilance against the Spirit of Christ, and fighting against those who reject the mark of the beast. Couples act together as a social wall. The bond of relationships is based on discarding the need for Jesus Christ and trampling on the Holy Spirit.
“For Saul thought, “Let my hand not be against him, but let the hand of the Philistines be against him.” 1 Samuel 18:17b. By putting David into the frontline of battles, Saul was hoping the Philistines would kill David. Today, couples are formed with the intention of killing the Spirit of Christ, which blurs the fact of the presence of the persecution of the followers of Christ. A spouse gives themselves for the partner and family but loses their walk with Jesus Christ. They find themselves in good standing within the society of those living for the mark of the beast.
A follower of Christ should be suspicious of a coupling offer. “So David said to Saul, “Who am I, and what is my life or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be son-in-law to the king?” 1 Samuel 18:18 David questioned Saul’s offer of all-of-a-sudden making him the son-in-law of the king. Saul had already tried to kill David by throwing spears at him twice (vs. 10 and 11). Today, it’s obvious that the “democratic” society despises the Gospel of Christ and is removing the teachings of the Bible. They are constantly throwing “spears” and “needling” those who live for Jesus. Why would they even hint at offering to give a Christian a spouse? They are hoping the person will abandon Christ for the spouse, live for the thing that forms what they think, feel, and do, and be synchronized to the mark of the beast.
Love is used to ensnare and kill the Spirit of Christ. “But it happened at the time when Merab, Saul’s daughter, should have been given to David, that she was given to Adriel the Meholathite as a wife.” 1 Samuel 18:19 Instead of giving the promised wife to David, she was given to another man. Those who govern by the mark of the beast will never keep a promise in a way that feeds into the Spirit of Christ. Initially, they make promises to appeal to the spirit of the follower of Christ, but then they purposely betray the heart of a Christian. They habitually wound the Believer to kill Christ’s Spirit as they refuse to form relationships rooted in Christianity.
“Now Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved David. And they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.” 1 Samuel 18:20 Saul’s daughter loved David, so a plot begins to develop in his ugly mind. It’s the same plot used today to corrupt love and use it as a curse to a person. “So Saul said, “I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David a second time, “You shall be my son-in-law today.” 1 Samuel 18:21 Saul’s plot was to use love as a trap which would ensnare David into battle and cause his death. Those who have the power to form feelings and emotions detest human felt love, and they form in a person’s heart who they should feel bonded to. Those who are bonded by the mark of the beast brag, “What’s love got to do with it?” They detest God’s love and our devotion to Jesus Christ.
Devious matchmaking to conspire against Christ. “And Saul commanded his servants, “Communicate with David secretly, and say, ‘Look, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now therefore, become the king’s son-in-law.’” 1 Samuel 18:22 Matchmaking is done in a very devious manner and is a conspiracy against the Spirit of Jesus Christ. They build up the esteem and confidence of a person to give reassurance of the love felt for them. Having a spouse goes along with having a place within the king’s family of the society of the mark of the beast, which adds to a person’s sense of worth and prestige. They use love, esteem, and prestige to conquer the Spirit of Christ.
“So Saul’s servants spoke those words in the hearing of David. And David said, “Does it seem to you a light thing to be a king’s son-in-law, seeing I am a poor and lightly esteemed man?” 1 Samuel 18:23 Once more, David questioned the matchmaking effort since in the eyes of this world he was barely anything at all. It’s like a follower of Christ being with minimal money, possessions, physical comforts, and social standing. It’s a person who has not been accepted into the society of those who live for the mark of the beast. Especially today, it’s not a light thing to be offered the opportunity to have a spouse, the possibility of children, and a bustling social life. It’s a honey trap. “And the servants of Saul told him, saying, “In this manner David spoke.” 1 Samuel 18:24 Those who govern by the mark of the beast know exactly what our answer is to acceptance of a spouse in place of Christ. NO!
In exchange for a spouse, fighting for the system of the mark of the beast is demanded. “Then Saul said, “Thus you shall say to David: ‘The king does not desire any dowry but one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to take vengeance on the king’s enemies.’” But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.” 1 Samuel 18:25 A poor person’s desire for a spouse is manipulated and coerced into committing hostile acts towards others. Saul told David he didn’t want anything in exchange for the woman, except for David’s willingness to take vengeance on Saul’s enemies. That is the same deal made with the followers of Christ, in order to have a sexual partner they want us to fight against their enemies. Their enemies are those who oppose the thing that forms thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors to synchronize a person to the mark of the beast. They want us to fight against the Gospel of Christ, Christianity as a whole, and to kill the Spirit of Christ. Their whole conspiracy is to make Christians fall, and they use sexual and sensual pleasure to make it happen.
Jesus Christ defeats His enemies for the exchange of love between us and Him. “So when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to become the king’s son-in-law. Now the days had not expired; therefore, David arose and went, he and his men, and killed two hundred men of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full count to the king, that he might become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him Michal his daughter as a wife.”” 1 Samuel 18:27 Michal loved David, regardless of Saul’s intent to use her love against David. On the same day that the offer was made to David, before the sun went down, he went and killed two hundred Philistines, twice as many than Saul requested. Jesus Christ loves us so much that He defeats His enemies, sin and death, so that we can be with Him. David wasn’t trying to fulfill the contract made with David, that’s why he killed 100 more Philistines than what Saul required. David did what he did for the love Michal had for him. Likewise, Jesus Christ did not defeat sin and death to fulfill a worldly contract with the global government of the beast. He brought the remission of sin and eternal life so that we can be with him forever in the New Jerusalem.
This world is a continual enemy to the Children of Christ. “Thus Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved him; and Saul was still more afraid of David. So Saul became David’s enemy continually.” 1 Samuel 18:28-29 Saul knew the Lord was with David, the same way that this world knows that the Spirit of God is with Jesus Christ. The children born in sin, who have given their life to Christ love Him. We love Him more than we love the “democratic” society of the mark of the beast, and that is unsettling to the leaders of this world. Those who deny God, discard the need for Jesus Christ, and trample on the Holy Spirit are a continual enemy to the Children of Christ.
“Then the princes of the Philistines went out to war. And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul, so that his name became highly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 18:30 The name of Jesus Christ is highly esteem and above every name, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,” Philippians 2:9
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
