Joshua and the Seven Trumpets: Walls are Built, and the World is Closed to the People of God, and the Seven Trumpets Sound

Joshua 6

Click for a description of the mark of the beast.

“Stand up, stand up for Jesus! ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry, His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.”
(Church Hymn)

  • When God is shut out, and walls are built against His people, the beginning of the end is here.
  • The seven trumpets blow and the government falls.
  • The Gospel of Christ goes with us as the tribulation trumpets sound.
  • The first six trumpets begin to blow, and we stand as soldiers of Christ.
  • The Seventh trumpet blows and the global government falls.
  • Avoid the cursed things of the world and take in the treasures of God.
  • Salvation comes to those who have the scarlet cord of Jesus Christ in the window of the heart
  • Cursed are the builders of the global government of the mark of the beast.

When God is shut out, the beginning of the end is here. “Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in.” Joshua 6:1 Today, the world is shut-up because of the people of God, which is a way of building walls. The society of the mark of the beast has shut out the need for Jesus Christ, shut out the Holy Spirit, and have shut out God. The walls have been built to keep the people of God out. They do not allow anyone to enter the presence of God and do not allow anyone out to seek Jesus. Their intent is to make the person the seat of government for the mark of the beast. The Lord’s response to that is, “And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Joshua 6:2 Lawlessness is unleashed when God is shut out and that is the beginning of the end for the global government of the beast, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

The seven trumpets blow and the government falls. “You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.” Joshua 6:3 As followers of Jesus Christ, we are soldiers of the Cross, and we have been given the command to go around the world to share His Gospel. The faithful and few will continue to lift up the name of Jesus until the Day of the Lord. In the very last days before the return of Jesus, the seven trumpets are going to blow, “And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.” Joshua 6:4 Those trumpets blow on behalf of everyone who has come to God through Jesus Christ (the ark of the covenant). A description of those seven trumpets is described in Revelation 8:7-13 (Trumpet 1-4), Revelation 9:1-21 (Trumpet 5-6), and Revelation 11:15-19 (Trumpet 7). When the trumpets sound, it brings the end of the global government of the mark of the beast, “It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.” Joshua 6:5 The walls built to shut out God and His people will be destroyed, which is the same as destroying the global “democracy” built on the mark of the beast.

The Gospel of Christ goes with us as the tribulation trumpets sound. If something significant is going to happen through God, it will come through the promise He made with us through Jesus Christ (that is the ark of the covenant). This explains the ark of the covenant, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 When the Seven Trumpets prepare to sound, the ark of the covenant will be there, “Then Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, “Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord.” Joshua 6:6 As followers of Jesus Christ, we know the Seven Trumpets of tribulation have been picked up to sound, and as soldiers of the Cross we continue to share the Gospel of Christ. “And he said to the people, “Proceed, and march around the city, and let him who is armed advance before the ark of the Lord.” Joshua 6:7

Jesus Christ has spoken to us, before the trumpets sound, about what happens in these last days under the government of the mark of the beast, like Joshua spoke to the people of God, “So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the Lord advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them.” Joshua 6:8 As soldiers of the Cross, we must follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these turbulent times, like the people of God did then, “The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.” Joshua 6:9

The first six trumpets begin to blow, and we stand as soldiers of Christ. “Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, “You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout.” Joshua 6:10 Like Joshua, Jesus Christ wants us to be still as we enter into global tribulation, because one thing is for sure, those who govern by the mark of the beast do not respond kindly to shouts of criticism nor to raucous rebellion against them. They are like a psychotic “lamb” quietly putting down the people of God by building walls against them and keeping them shut out from their society. Any public outcry against what they are doing leads to even more severe consequences. During this time of living peaceably in a hostile world, the trumpets begin to blow. “So he had the ark of the Lord circle the city, going around it once. Then they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.” Joshua 11

To give you an idea of what our silence buys, this is the first trumpet, “The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.” Revelation 8:7 During this time, we hold to the Gospel of Christ, John 3:16, the ark of the Lord, “And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord.” Joshua 6:12 The Seven Trumpets are going to continue to blow and get progressively worse against the global government of the beast, but as soldiers of the Cross we continue in Jesus Christ, as written, “Then seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord went on continually and blew with the trumpets. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the Lord, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.” Joshua 6:13 The events of the Seven Trumpets get worse every day, “Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” Revelation 8:8-9 The progression of the severity of the trumpets continued for six days as six of the seven trumpets sound, “And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days.” Joshua 6:14

The Seventh trumpet blows and the global government falls. When the seventh trumpet blows, it plays into the culmination of all the past six trumpets that have blown. The global government of the beast is in absolute shambles by the time the seventh trumpet sounds. That is represented in the phrase, “On that day only they marched around the city seven times,” as written here, “But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times.” Joshua 6:15 On the day when the Seventh Trumpet sounds, Jesus Christ will command us to shout in victory because the government of the mark of the beast is totally collapsed, “And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!” Joshua 6:16

This is a description of what happens when the Seventh Trumpet Sounds, “Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it.” Joshua 6:17a.

“Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever and ever!”
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One who is and who was and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple.
And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.”
Revelation 11:15-19

The few who remain faithful to Jesus Christ will be saved and will live with Him for “1000 years” on this earth. During that time there will be no mark of the beast, no beast, and no second beast (false prophet), because they will be thrown into the lake of fire. Satan will be restrained alive for those “1000 years.” After those “1000 years,” Satan himself will be thrown into the lake of fire, then the final judgment comes, this present heaven and earth is totally destroyed, then all Believers will live in the new heaven and earth of the New Jerusalem. This can be read about in Revelation 19 and 20. It doesn’t matter what our past is, if we believe God and work in the name of Jesus Christ, we will have a home in the New Jerusalem, the House of God. That is represented through Rahab who believed God and worked for Jesus Christ in a time when the people of God were being hunted down to be killed, “Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.” Joshua 6:17b.

Avoid the cursed things of the world and take in the treasures of God. On our journey through this turbulent world, we are given some instructions, as represented here, “And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.” Joshua 6:18 As followers of Jesus Christ, we stay away from all accursed things within this world. Accursed things distract us away from the Gospel of Jesus, causes us to drift away from God, leads us to discard the need for Christ, and grieves the Holy Spirit. Accursed things bring us closer to living for the mark of the beast, brings trouble among the followers of Christ, and destroys us as the home of the Holy Spirit. Things we should desire are to build us up as the home of the Holy Spirit and should be brought into the treasury of the Lord, our soul. These are things that make us strong in the Spirit of God through Jesus Christ, those treasures are represented here, “But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are consecrated to the Lord; they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.” Joshua 6:19

When we remain strong in the treasures of God through Jesus Christ, we will have the victory in the Day of the Lord when the Seventh Trumpet blows. “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20 There is nothing we want from the hands of those who govern by the mark of the beast in exchange for our faith in Jesus Christ. We do not want their Christless social integration, we do not want a spouse nor family from them, we do not want their possessions, nor any worldly prosperity. What good does it do to gain the world but lose our soul? By the sword of the Spirit, we cut away all of that stuff to be rid of it, like the people of God did under Joshua, “And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.” Joshua 6:21

Salvation comes to those who have the scarlet cord of Jesus Christ in the window of the heart. Rahab set herself apart from the world around her, which was hunting down the people of God to kill them. She gave help and support to the men of God because she believed God would have the victory over the world. The scarlet cord that she placed in the window symbolizes the visibility of the blood of Jesus Christ applied to our heart for the forgiveness of sins. When that cord was seen, Salvation was brought to the house of Rahab and everyone in the house. The men she helped swore to come back for her to save her, the same as Christ promises to come back and save all who have the scarlet cord in the window of our heart. As written here, “But Joshua had said to the two men who had spied out the country, “Go into the harlot’s house, and from there bring out the woman and all that she has, as you swore to her. And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel.”” Joshua 6:22-23

The Israeli soldiers destroyed all the accursed things in the city and kept all the things that could go into the treasury of the Lord, as written, “But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.” Joshua 6:24 For us, we destroy the worldly things of the society of the mark of the beast by being set apart from them, and we take in everything that contributes to the treasury of our heart through Jesus Christ. “And Joshua spared Rahab the harlot, her father’s household, and all that she had. So she dwells in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.” Joshua 6:25 Rahab went on to live with the Israelites, married a man and one of their children led to the birth of King David, a man after God’s own heart, whose lineage gave birth to Jesus Christ.

Cursed are the builders of the global government of the mark of the beast. “Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the Lord who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.” Joshua 6:26 Everything about this current global system is Satanic. It’s Satanic because it takes the creation of God and has made itself a god over it all. By its power over physiology, it forms thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors to take control over the body. It wants to establish the person as the seat of government for the mark of the beast. By the mark of the beast, God is mocked and blasphemed, the need for Jesus Christ is discarded, and the Holy Spirit is trampled on. The people of God are shut out, afflicted, and suffers death at the hands of the psychotic “lamb.”

Jesus Christ makes it clear that this worldly system is cursed and so is everyone who had and has a role in building it, maintaining it, and causing it to progress forward. It is destined for gloom, agony, and despair. It has laid its foundation on the prime youth and has set up the children as their gates. That’s like saying, “The children have us wrapped around their finger,” and that’s because they do. They scream and cry if we are not in the gates of the mark of beast, and they delight and amaze if we stand in those Christless gates. Even so, Jesus Christ is victorious over this world, and He has conquered sin and death. He will be coming back to destroy this global government of the beast and to take us home to the New Jerusalem. Jesus Christ is heard about around the world, as symbolized through Joshua, “So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.” Joshua 6:27

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
