Holy Spirit Gives Instruction to Restore Sight.
Ananias was one of the followers of Christ who was on Saul’s arrest warrant. Now, the Spirit of God is calling Ananias to go meet Saul to restore his sight. Ananias is given which house to go to, the name of the street the house is on, and the name of Saul. Many people can relate to that type of direction being given nowadays. In this year 2022, it’s common for people to walk up to others because something is heard, “go say hi to that person”, do this or do that, say this or say that. With that, there is that uncanny GPS system that leads a person through the streets to a specific destination. That is how the mark of the beast operates through a person. When the Holy Spirit gives direction, the purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ in spreading the Gospel. The leading of the Holy Spirit would result is restoring the sight of Saul.

At this point, Saul has not eaten nor drank for three days and has been blind for those three days. Saul and a few other men were on their way to Damacus to arrest the followers of Christ when Saul saw the great Light of Jesus. Now, he managed to separate himself from those who were hostile to the Gospel of Jesus and is staying with a man of God. He has come apart from the unGodly men, befriended a Christian, his heart is full of prayer, and now he is ready to receive his sight. When the Holy Spirit is ready to infill a person, the person will have separated from the ways of this world, established Godly relationships, possess a heart filled with prayer, refuse to act on the prodding of the mark of the beast, and will have received sight to be able to see Jesus Christ.

If we ever feel led by the Holy Spirit to approach a person to pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the person’s heart will be prepared to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s prospect is a person who no longer eats nor drinks from the supper that this unGodly world is serving. The person would be separated from the world for a period of time, the heart will be filled with prayer, unGodly relationships will be left, friendships with Believers will be established, the eyes will be open to the Truth of Christ, and then the Holy Spirit is ready to come. Even if a person doesn’t have one single friend in this unGodly world, just befriending Christianity is a heart preparing for the Holy Spirit.

“In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias.
The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.
The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street
and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias
come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
Acts 9:10-12

From Being a Terror to an Instrument of God.
Saul was a terror to those who chose the way of Jesus Christ, and Ananias was on Saul’s list to be arrested. As is written, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your Holy people.” The Holy Spirit can take a ruthless and conniving persecutor of Christians and turn them into a preacher of the Gospel of Christ. Saul had a hard time shaking off his ruthless reputation, but he was not a wolf in sheep clothing, he was a sinner clothed in the Holy Spirit.

Saul separated himself from the unGodly social network and befriended the Christians. His eyes were open to see Jesus Christ and he would go on to be a powerful witness to the death and resurrection of Christ. He turned many souls to God through Jesus while he was alive, and who knows how many millions, probably billions, of souls came to the Cross of Christ because of his writings in the New Testament. This is what God said of His plan for Saul, “This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.” Saul suffered tremendously with beatings, many hardships, and eventually death for sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ. As God said, “I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

“Lord,” Ananias answered,
“I have heard many reports about this man
and all the harm he has done to your Holy people in Jerusalem.
And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
But the Lord said to Ananias,
“Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles
and their kings and to the people of Israel.
I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
Acts 9:13-16

Receive Sight and be Filled with the Holy Spirit.
Today, anyone can see that something is wrong in this world. If the destructive climate change isn’t enough, then there is all the violence and rebellion. It’s a light so bright that it leaves a person blind and wondering what the real cause behind it all is. Yet, it’s enough to keep us from getting involved into the turbulence. It separates us from those seeking to protest, riot, and to get involved in the conflict. It’s enough to make us quit digesting the negative news stories that incites angry, bitter, and aggressive behaviors. It’s enough to make us quit responding to the unGodly thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that come to us through the mark of the beast. The blinding Light of Jesus Christ has been seen, now it’s time to have our eyes opened and to receive the Holy Spirit.

When the blinding light of Christ causes us to separate from this unGiodly world, it’s time for our eyes to open, to be baptized in Jesus’s name, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When our eyes open, we see the cause behind the world’s turbulence. We see the push to eliminate Godly culture, laws, and constitutions to establish a world government based on a single constitution rooted in the mark of the beast. It discards the need for Jesus Christ, grieves the Holy Spirit, and sets itself up as God. Eyes open to see that the only way out of that unGodly world is through the Cross of Jesus Christ. The person seeks baptism into daily reading of the Bible, the heart fills with prayer according to the scripture, there is a separation from those who oppose the Gospel, and there is the befriending of Christianity. The Holy Spirit will come to infill the person. They will be strengthened on the food provided by the Holy Spirit.

Saul was blinded by the Light of Jesus Christ for three days before he was able to see and be filled with the Holy Spirit. For those three days, he quit persecuting Christians and detached himself from the others who were seeking to bring harm to those following the way of Jesus. After those three days, he was able to see, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the Holy Spirit.

“Then Ananias went to the house and entered it.
Placing his hands on Saul, he said,
“Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—
has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again.
He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength.”
Acts 9:17-19

Gospel Preached that Jesus is the Son of God.

“Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.”
Acts 9:19b-20

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ, to spread the Gospel, and to bring Salvation. Saul spent several days with Holy Spirit filled Disciples and immediately from that point began to preach that Jesus is the Son of God. That is how the Holy Spirit operates today as well. When any one of us receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit, there is a burning desire with a fiery tongue to glorify Jesus Christ. We want to say a word in favor of Jesus. Today, we live in a world that is putting down the spread of Christianity. It is extremely difficult to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. From time to time, I manage to squeak out a word to glorify Jesus, but I always, always wear clothing that speaks in favor of Christ Jesus.

This following verse explains why spreading the Gospel is so difficult today, speaking of the power behind the mark of the beast,

“And it was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies,
and it was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Then it opened its mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name,
His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.
And authority was given it over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
All who dwell on the earth will worship it,
whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb
slain from the foundation of the world.”
Revelation 13:5-8

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
