Does Your Right Hand and Forehead Speak?

(The second paragraph is where I mention the weirdness if a right hand or forehead is able to speak)

This is not a world where the global population is tattooed to brand them with their owner’s mark. There are not people walking around with “666” on their forehead nor is “666” tattooed to anyone’s right hand. Likewise, there is not anyone in this world that can point to their forehead and say, “Look, God’s seal is on my forehead.” Everyone knows that there are no external signs that seals the allegiance of a person’s heart. What is being talked about here is an “image” that is able to speak. In fact, Revelation 13:13-15 implies that persuasion and deceit are being used to impel people to live by the mark of the beast. It’s more like coercion than persuasion. It orders all the earth to worship the beast. It has power over the inner workings of physiology, it has healing powers and power over life and death. God warns the world not to live by the mark of the beast. Part of the persuasion to take the mark is the threat of death and the inability to buy or sell if the mark is refused.

“And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth
in full view of the people.
Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast,
it deceived the inhabitants of the earth.
It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who
was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast,
so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.”

It’s the image of the beast that is to be worshipped and the image of the beast is able to speak. There is nothing on the forehead or the right hand that is going to be able to speak. That would be extremely weird to have a right hand or forehead that is able to speak. The “image” is used in the same way that the word “image” is usually used in the Bible. For example, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27 and “For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29

The “image” refers to an inner presence that reveals itself in what we think and in what we do. The mark on the forehead represents thinking according to the image of the beast that is within, and the mark on the right hand represents doing according to the image of the beast within. Today, there is an inner presence that has power over physiology and is able to form thoughts and emotions to influence behaviors. That is the mark of the beast. The world is warned not to live by the mark of the beast. It sets itself up as God while tossing aside Jesus Christ, trampling on the Holy Spirit, and afflicting those who live for Jesus Christ. The people of God are called to endurance and patience while the mark of the beast is unleashed onto the world.

The consequences of living for the inner presence of the mark of the beast is eternal torment, as is described in the verses below. The world is warned not to live by the mark of the beast.

“If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its
mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury,
which has been poured full strength into the cup of His wrath.
They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.
There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image,
or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who
keep His commands and remain faithful to Jesus.”
Revelation 14:9-12

“Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira,
to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
